Plantar Fasciitis & Capsuliitis In the Same Foot

I am really struggling with my right foot.
I started with plantar faciitis and used “off the rack” inserts which improved the condition but I feel actually put too much pressure on the ball of my foot which resulted in capsuliitis.
What can I do to improve these conditions?
I’m taking Viox.
Stretching for the plantar faciitis seems to aggravate the capsuliitis.
My podiatrist is leary of using a coritsone injection in the joint.
The second toe is stiff and somewhat rigid with knots.
I would appreciate any ideas.

Without seeing you, I can only make suggestions. Physical therapy, immobilization in a cast boot, non-weight bearing on crutches, ice compression and rest are all valid suggestions.
