plantar neuroma

I have plantar neuroma on both feet. Do the plastic or gel insoles sold by Dr. Scholl’s at supermarkets work for this condition?
Thank you,REJ

Sorry, they do not do anything more than add a bit of cushioning. The neuroma hurts because it takes up too much room where there isn't enough. Being a sensory nerve it sends many pain signals to the brain when it is irritated.

Dr. Scholl said that in some rare cases plantars neuroma can be the only symptoms of sciatica. “The Human Foot, Anatomy Deformaties and Treatment” I’ve seen patients that have been helped by physical therapy for the back when no other foot treatment worked. Have you had any cases where all foot treatment didn’t work, and back therapy did?
