I am sorry I can not give you specific answers. Each doctor may do things a bit differently. It would not be appropriate for me to give you what my post op care is. You really need to discuss this with your doctor.
Hi, I had a PF done, it was orthoscopic. I was supposed to walk out of surgery, but my foot didn’t feel right, so I used crutches the first two days. The surgery did not work for me, so I would highly recommend considering other options before surgery. I also had ESWT on my other foot, which also did not work. 🙁
I had an PF surgery on June 30, 05 which the doctor also removed a bone spur along w/releasing the PF. I have developed “unknown” complications and I’m having a very hard time getting help. I’m still in a LOT of pain all these weeks later. Pain pills are NOT my thing, I just want to be FIXED. Thats why I had the surgery to begin with. I had tried everything known to mankind before the surgery w/no relief. Please be careful and read, read, read, everything you can before you decide. I tried the ESW before surgery also, worked on one foot but not the other. I’d do that again in a minute but NEVER again, THIS surgery. From what I’ve read, it’s very different for each person. I just had a bad experience and WISH I’d read more BEFORE I chose this option. Good Luck to you.
I had surgery on 6/1/o5 I would advice every one do not have the surgery I have fill twice the pain since the surgery it is 8/26/05 still have a hard time with it can’t work can’t walk for that long don’t know what to do next

Consider ESWT before surgery.
