Planter’s Warts(yuck)
i am 13 years old and I have been to the doctor about a planter’s wart on my heel.
he put some smelly brown stuff (no, not poop) on it and ever since then the wart has been causing me A LOT of pain.
Before he put the stuff on the p.w, I was experiencing no pain at all.
Is this normal???
thanks!shelby

I am sorry I can not give you an estimate of how much surgery would cost. I would need to examine you, take an xray and discuss your need and wants with you fully. Surgery is an art and there are variables that must be considered. As far as the afterward, I can't tell you you could go back to work as I do not know what type of work you do. Depending on your job, although it is unlikely, there might be a possibility, but I know nothing about you. Generally speaking, a post op surgical shoe is indicated after foot surgery to accomodate bandages and give a stable platform to walk on. Usually one is not bedridden after hammertoe surgery. For more information, schedule an appointment with a podiatrist. If you do not know any and have no one to ask, go online to www.apma.org and search for a podistrist in your locale. Good luck
