Please God someone explain this to me

Last year I slept on the top of a pair of bunk beds. Frequently doing heavy squats, I had to make a very high step with my left leg to get up into my bed. I began feeling a twanging pain in my gluteal when I made “the step” each night. Somehow I ignored this for an entire year, but now I have a nearly golf ball sized lump in my inner-groin gluteal that swells significantly when I stress that area with physical activity. I thought it was a puss-type build up, but when the swelling goes down the lump’s surface feels hard and irregular. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Could this be a large cyst with scab matter around it making it hard?

    Hi there.

I know if I was in your position I would be quite nervous about this but I’d feel embarassed to go to my GP. Please just take a deep breath and book and appointment ASAP.

I’ve put off embarassing and scary problem visits myself but when i got to my GP I felt sillier for leaving it so long because he’s just treated it as a routine matter.

    Best of luck

    Sproggy
