Dear Doctor,There are so many products on the market, which on will be helpful for my injury? I ‘ve been doing the step-aerobics for years, can not do it now. Thank you in advance for your time, I am looking forward to your reply.Findings of my MRI exam:There is a small joint effusion. There is a moderate grade II chondromlacia about the entire patellofemoral compartment. The remainder of the articular cartilage demonstates mild marrowing medially.
There is subchondral bone marrow edema medially. Impression:1. Moderate grade II-III chondromalacia about the patellofemoral compartment diffusely.2. Small effusion.3.Early medial joint arthrosis.4. Mild inflammation on the gastrocnemii, nonspecific in nature.

The ones I’ve seen to help the tracking of the patella are the ones that fit just under the knee cap. But you really should stop aerobics for now and get to a PT and get on a good program to target the VMO (the middle part of the quads) and improve the tracking of the patella. I would’nt continue step aerobics if it hurts, you will just be doing more harm than good at this point. Pain is an indicator that you are damaging tissue and this will only lead to further damage. Good luck

Dear DR.My MRI said there is suggestion of strain of the lateral collateral ligament. A small effusion is noted. MRI of the right knee is otherwise within normal limits. It has been over six months since I hurt my knee. I have taken motrin and been iceing the knee. Should this be still hurting is there any other thing I can do?
