Plica: Definition/Treatment??

Just had an arthroscopy and the surgeon said that he removed a plica. I am having difficulty finding any information relating either to the cause of them, what they are (I know the basics i.e. a fold of synovial membrane etc.) or how to treat my knee post op. I had the procedure on Thursday afternoon. It is now Friday evening. I have had a cryo cuff on for most of the day and the only pain relief I have taken is ibuprofen. Does anyone have any personal experience either treating or recovering from this?
