Possible Torn Hip Flexor….

(6 discussions)

Before christmas, I was sprinting in gym. I felt a ‘pain’ in my hip area, I streched it out and kept on going….every time I was running it was hurting untill 1 time I was making a sharp turn, putting all my weight on my hip and somthing snapped. it started burning and I could not raise my leg up at all…. It hurt in arearight above my hip bone, I went to the doctor the next day and got x rays and told me I tore my ‘glutues minimus’ I done some research and that is in my sensored, it is hurting no where near that… if you could, tell me what it is and how I can heal it. will it be healed my next fall, for football season?

Can you suggest exercises to strengthen my hip flexor muscle. Thank you.

I recently pulled my hip flexor yesterday playing soccer and in serious pain. I can barely lift my leg up to put pants on. I would appreciate it if I could receive some rehab tips or stretches on how to possibly get this back to normal.

Can you give me some information on treating a possible torn hip flexer. I have been doing intense aerobics about two days a week. Afterwards, my upper leg muscles are so stiff and sore, I can barely walk, after I get up from sitting for a few minutes. My leg are better by the next day. If you could help me with this problem, I would really appreciate it.Patty Drischel

I have a partial/fully torn hip flexor and was hoping to find out some info on how to rehabilitate it on my own, with some different exercises and stretches. If you have any ideas or suggestions, please feel to send me any info possible.

what you have to do is rest iti completely tor my hip flexor couldnt walk for a couple weeks (on crutches)then try lunges, elastic band stretches, andslow high steps. This is what my doctor told me to do in rehab, BUT MAKE SURE IT IS COMPLETRLY HEALED

Ryan you most lickly tore your hip flexor. I tore mine twice curing football season.Relax your leg don’t strech it just let it heal on its own. I know it’s a pain in the sensored, but in a few weeks you’ll be fine.
