Protruding C5, C6, C7

I have been diagnosed with moderate protruding dics C5, C6, C7.
I have been seeing a chiropractor with no results.
Should I continue with a chripractor, is ther harm in continuing.
I have an appointment wit a nuerosurgeon, and would prefer to not have to have surgery.

What is your symptom history? The protruding C5-C7 only tells a part of your clinical picture. Radiating pain? Numbness? Tingling? Recent injury? Will seeing the chiropractor make it worse? Usually no. But will it help? It depends on the treatment being provided. The patients at my clinic who present with a similar problem are treated with chiropractic adjustments, to mobilize fixated segments in the neck. I then place them on cervical traction, or a device that encourages traction and proper cervical curve, which takes the stress of the discs. Lastly, once theyre symptoms have reduced, I place them on spinal strengthening exercises.
