    could you give me ideas on how to heal a pulled ham string? rest? stretching? therapy? Heat?

    My son, Matt pulled his hamstring last Friday–he has been iceing, elevating, resting and wearing compression sleeve. We are hearing different opinions on using heat. We’d alsolike to start ultra sound and his new pt says she wants to wait a week. Also she says heat will not be helpful and we read that using a heating pad alternating it with ice is very beneficial. Is it ok to use ultra sound daily and after 4 days?Is it ok to use heat after four days?
    Matt has to report to football camp in 2 weeks…what is the best approach for aggressive therapy?Do you think sports massage would be beneficial.
    We are willing to do whatever it takes so he is in better shape at the beginning of two a days.His pulled hamstring is between a grade 1 and 2thank you so much for a response.
