Pulled/tore something in left heel, now heel numb
(2 discussions)
About 2 weeks ago I stretched out my left foot and when I did it felt like something tore deep inside my heel (around the center of the heel).
Shortly after my heel became numb.
After walking on it for a while it returned to normal but after waking up the next morning my heel was numb again.
Now it pretty much stays numb and it is worse when I first get up in the morning.
Does this sound like plantar faciitis or a torn ligament/tendon?

Without examining you I can not say for sure. But I think the numbness indicates a nerve is pinched or otherwise compromised. I would consider a MRI for further information.

I am interested in what comments were made about this. My event resulted in mild to severe recurrent pain that has lasted for 4 months; sometimes it’s feels OK but sometimes I limp. I took a long walk had that fooling like something tore inside my left heel.
