Two of my toes, one on each foot, is purple. I don’t remember injuring it and I have no pain. Any suggestion as to what would cause a purple toenail?
Thanks, Mike
Usually this is due to blood under the nail. This is seen often in tennis players and runners where the toenails slide forward and hit the end of the shoe. It will take many months for it to grow out. If you have any pain or further questions, see a podiatrist.
