Quadracept/Hip Pain

For the past two weeks, and after a long hard hilly run at 5:30 pace in not the best weather conditions I started having soreness in my right quads interior from about 1/2 way down my leg up towards the hip. I have iced, at first cut back running, now am no longer running or cross training. The injury does not heart when I am sitting walking, standing. It only hurts when I run –even slowly. For the most part, it is not a sharp pain, but a dull pain. I have no problem doing a regiment of stretches without it hurting. Any ideas what it might be and what to do, if anything else? When should I see a doctor — give it a week off with ice, antiinflamatory and rest, then see?

Is it possible that you have a cramp in one of the quad muscles?
