I broke my left baby finger three weeks ago. I went to emergency room the next day and got x-rays. The doctor informed me that it was broken in the middle part and said that I don’t need screws and pins in it, that because I’m in a wheelchair and because it’s just better to double tape it to the other finger, with some gauze placed between them, (not a thick piece) and to keep it taped for 6 weeks. The problem is that when I take the tape off, to change it, my finger is still deformed, it’s bent to the left at the top… will it straighten out or is something wrong? please help
I am a court-reporter and fractured the distal phalanx of my third finger of my right hand. The fracture is healing, however, my finger is very stiff, also does not lie as flat as my other ones. What can I do to help it? My orthopedist doctor doesn’t understand that I can’t do my job properly without the full use and range of motion of that finger.Any suggestions? Thanks.
My son broke the proximal phalange of the little finger three weks ago. I was surgically repaired with three screws. We need to find adequate protection when he returns to play
