recurrent dislocated shoulder issue

I have had my left shoulder do an anterior {normal} dislcoation spontaneously for many years. No trauma or accident, etc involved whatsoever. Until I can finance complete surgical repair, I am thinking there must be some way to address {not necessarily prevent completely} whatever is happening in the shoulder area that precipitates a sponstaneous severe shoulder dislocation, and make some effort to forestall or resist spontaneous dislocations. For instance, I wonder if shoulder muscles are relaxing, if the bone is moving, what is going on that makes the shoulder predisposed to spontaneous dislcoations? then if we know that, it seems that would be a logical starting point. I need help. Last time I was lying in bed at 8 am and the shoulder just popped out. Major pain.

Can you shed some light on whether the shoulder is migrating to a position that makes it more likely to pop out of place and dislocate? In other words, I am trying to understand what precedes a dislcolation inasmuch as months can go by between episodes. Help understanding this is appreciated.
