recurring SI joint pain

In March, I injured my right SI joint and was miserable for four days before I got help.
I went to the chiropractor who diagnosed me with SI joint inflamation and multiple muscle spasms.
I went back as he scheduled me and the pain lessened with each visit.
However, the pain worsened during treatment and I had to start over again.
This happened twice after the initial damage. By July, I was cleared to begin running agian and ran a triathalon pain-free.
I was okay for about two monthes and all of a sudden, in October, I stepped over a baby gate and felt it start all over again.
I went to the chiropractor who treated me again.
I’m wondering why this keeps coming back and what I might do about it?

    Dear Maggie,
Once you injury a ligament joint area, that area often heals with scar tissue that is weaker, less flexible and more sensitive to pain than normal tissue. Add to that excessive running and you have a chronic problem.Fell free to visit me to learn more about your health problems.
