Right Hip and Upper Thigh

(6 discussions)

I am having a right hip and upper thigh problem. I have a burning sensation going on to my upper thigh area and side of right hip. I had an MRI done today and my hip and muscles, tendons are all just fine but there is a small amount of Bursitis but not enough to cause my pain and burning sensation, besides I also get a tingling feeling like it is asleep and sharp pains on my right side every now and then which could be some kind of muscle spasms. So I am going to have another MRI done on my lower back to see if there might be a pinched nerve or some kind of disc problem. I have had this for about a year and I am really getting tired of all this pain and nothing seems to work. I have had two cortisone shots and that hasn’t helped and they also perscribed antinflammatory medicine for me and that hasn’t helped with the pain either. Also when I put ice on the spot that hurts it has been on for 10 minutes and it starts to get a burning sensation so I take it off. It is very sore when you just touch the area very softly just like when you have a bruised area and push in and you get a pain that it hurts. So what do you think that this could be?

I sprained my left ankle, 10 weeks ago and for the last week, my right upper thigh has has a burning sensation…especially when I stand alot. sometimes, I also feel a sharp tingle up the thigh, when I get out of bed, usually…from a laying to standing position. I was just wondering what this could be. Than you. I am still wearing an air cast, on my left ankle because I had to go to a second doctor who then recommended theropy.

This is my problem, exactly. I am so concerned. Did you find out what caused your pain in the thigh.

That is exactly my problem! Whatever caused the pain in your thigh? It may put my mind at ease, if only to know what may be causing the problem.

I have a burning sensation anytime that I move my right hip while doing any kind of stretching or continuious movement. I have had this problem for several years, but it seems to be getting worse. I have been told it may be bursitis. Do you have any idea?

I had this same pain 2 years ago and the my nuerologist used Botox treatment and it went away now it is back but seems to be a little bit different but you might asked about Botox.
