rotator cuff

hi.. I am a 60 yr old female.. I am overweight.. I have diabetes.. I have arthistis in my knees.. I have denegentaive disc disease.. I fell on sept .6,2018..the dr said I torn my rotator cuff.. I am debateing whether to have it or not.. He did say that being a diabetic that I would have stiffness.. Please help me make up my mind…

    Hmmm, never heard of stiffness being a side effect of being diabetic. Once the rotator cuff tendon is torn it does not repair itself. It can only be repaired by surgery. How far can you lift your arm over your head? Can you live with that the rest of your life? After the surgery you will not, I repeat, will not be able to functionally use your arm for a few weeks if you want the surgery to be successful. I guess these are some questions you need to ask yourself and decide.
