ROTATOR CUP/TORN LIGEMENTS
(7 discussions)
I am 51 years old and have been having bad pain in my left shoulder, had xrays and MRI Dr. looked at them said I have multiple tears and one is all the way thru and I need surgery. Is this the only solution, and if so how long out of work? ( I have a job that requires no real exertion at all and my employer is willing to work with me. thanks

The Dr. has told me I have a deteriorated rotar cuff in my shoulder. I have had cortizone shots. I also have a bone spur on the shoulder. I am currently in PT. Is it possible to avoid surgery by contined PT?

I was pushing in carts at my work when I started feeling a great deal of pain. My regular job is working the garden center answering questions and I also pick up lawn mowers and grills. So I am strong. Yesterday the doctor said that she thinks that I have torn my rotator cup. How can I know before they give me the MRI?
