(4 discussions)

I am a 24 year old man that has detiration of the 6th-9th thoracic spine. I had NO back problems before. I have muscle spasm’s as well. I take Ibuprofen 600 mg for the pain and Tramadol (50) for the spasm’s. I was just wondering if there’s anything you can do differetly for scheuermann’s disease? If so, please email me. Thanks

I have the same condition. I am 36. I’ve had pain for 20 years. I’m almost pain-free now with the help of a great and simple device called “Lumbar Extender”. You can buy it for about $100. It pays for itself quickly. You simply lay down on it for 3-5 minutes and your muscles relax. Sounds to good to be true but I am a new person since I started using it 6 months ago. You will have relief the first time you use it. Buy it. It is a great investment.

I am 44yrs. I’ve had Scheuermanns since a childI,ve found by reducing stress in my life, walking daily, attending a gym three times a week this helps to keep the pain at bay. When I start to feel the pain creeping back I take Celebrix for three to four days and have some phsio this normally gets my symtom under control. However I feel my symtom get majorlly worse with stress this bring on alot of nerve pain. So the exercise helps not only my back but the stress side as well.My 12yr old son was diagnosed with this disease this week. Well good luck with managing your pain.

Hi, my name is Charlie. I’m 23 and know I have a type of Kyphosis, I’m just not sure what kind, yet. Growing up (between around eight to thirteen years of age) I remember always having extreme leg pain. Since around fourteen, I’ve been living with nearly constant stomach issues. Since around eighteen, I’ve been dealing with ever increasing impotence issues. All of these make sence, since they all have to do with nerve damage.Does anyone else have these paticular issues as a result of Kyphosis, or any other back abnormality?
