I am really worried that I won’t be able to do the things I used to do. I went to the doctor just for a phsyical and this is what I get. The doctor told me that I have it very mild, I’m still very scared! How do you get scholosis, genes from parent’s? I wish this would have never happened to me, I know a girl who has scholosis and she wears a brace. If I get to that condition will I be able to fit in my clothes if I get a hump on my back? My mom had infermation on scholosis so I read it. Why do people get this? Is scholosis a disease? Does scholosis have to do with slouching? Or not streching. Well thank for your time and support! I have scholosis and I have to wear a back brase.. I do not like wearing the brace because it hurts really bad.. if I do not wear the brase could I go cripled? If I had to have surgery from where I do not wear the brace, would I have a big scare down my back. For this scholosis in my back I blame my parents for it, but I know I shouldnt but I do..Ashley

My daughter has scholosis and has worn a back brace for 21 months.We go to Stanmore hospital to see someone called Mr Norden. Natalie has mild scholosis and at first wore a heel raise inside her shoe,as one of her legs is 1.7cm shorter than the other which caused her condition.You cannot tell Nat has this and she does not limp. I will answer any questions you have on wearing your brace from a personal view not a medicial one. The thought of the brace is worse than the wearing of it but there are things that make it more bearable.Jacky

I am an 14 year old active cheerleader. I was recentally dianosed with scholosis and am not able to do all of the normal cheerleading activities, such as stunting, like I used to. I am terrified that I will have to have surgery and will be out of all cheerlading for ever! How bad must it be for me to have to get surgery?
