severe pain in ball of foot

(2 discussions)

I have had surgery for Nueroma tumors twice on both feet.
Since that time, the last being 6 yrs ago, I am unable to wear any type of shoe that doesn’t have thick soles.
I also wear orthotics. I am very limited on the amount of walking I can do without pain. My podiatrist said that the padding on the bottom of my feet is worn and my bones are rubbing together causing the pain, plus nerve damage and scar tissue from the surgery. I am taking pain medication daily just to perform my job.
Is there anything available that would help me?

There might be some types of metatarsal cushions that might help, such as the Silipos Universal gel strap.
