Shin Splints

Good Morning Dr. Robinson,Question…. When jogging on the treadmill and sometimes walking rapidly, my shins hurt to the point of crying.
I just recently started working out and would really love to jog to losesome of the excess weight that I’ve gained over the years.
I’m about 5’5″ weighing 190 lbs. about 40lbs over weight.
Is thereanything I can do to relieve the pain.
Since I am so determined to lose the weight, I push through most ofthe agony and keep on jogging. At what point should I stopjogging or should I stop at all?

You may look a bit awkward, but will help relive some of those shin splints.
