Should I be bruising?
(2 discussions)
My sister has been seeing a chiropractor for around 3 weeks, 2-3 times a week, schedule permitting. She said that this last visit wasn’t painful until after the fact. She has some dark bruising around her spine. I am aware that she may be sore after the visit but I wondered if bruising was normal?

No its not normal at all. You should not be bruising. Is the doctor aware of this? If so, what did they have to say about this? Bruising can be caused by cirrhosis of the liver, Marfan Syndrome, Bone Marrow Disorders (leukemia),Hemophilia, Liver DiseasePlatelet Disorders (Thrombocytopenias),Medications (both Prescription and Non-prescription, especially aspirin, NSAIDs, prednisone),Von Willebrand's Disease and even smoking.

Is it possible that the chiropractors treatment could be too intense and that would be the cause of my bruising. I find the adjustments to be extremely painful. Please advise
