shoulder pain

Hello, I am a ‘somewhat older’ lady who recently re-took up golf for one lousy bucket of balls at the driving range.
My left shoulder has been hurting since then, right at the joint, between the top of the long bone(humerus?) and the clavicle.
I did not stretch before golfing.
The pain is a very sharp, acute pain that is intermittent, mostly when I try to lift my arm straight up from my side. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated….heat, ice, epsom salt soaks, anti-inflammatory creams or ??? Thank you, Lorna
