Shoulder tendonitis/bursitis

Since February, I’ve had pain and tenderness in my left shoulder and bicept and sometimes on the inside of both arms. It was limiting my range of motion in the left arm.
The doctor said that it is bursitis and/or tendonitis.
I’ve been going to a PT for 3 weeks.
The range of motion is much improved, but still aches and some days it is more tender and sore than others.
I work on a computer for 4-5 hours per day.
The PT has given me stretching exercises which I do religiously.
I guess I’m wondering if I would do better resting this than doing all the exercising? HELP!!!

Gloria,What type of doctor did you last see for this problem? If you have not seen an Orthopedist, that is the type of specialist that you need to see. Regardless, you need to give your doctor a phone call to let him/her know that you are not improving. H/she might need to order some further X-rays, or advanced tests, such as a MRI. Please follow up with an Orthopedist, and then your PT. Please let us know how you make out.
