SI Joint……..never ending

(3 discussions)

I’ve had the pain for going on 3.5 yrs.
It only hurts when I am sitting down for more than 20 minutes. Diagnosed with SIJ Dysfunction, on Vicoden since January, Physical Therapy for 3 months. Chiropractor for 3 wks, X-Ray Guided Injection (no change), Pain Specialist.

Back on Physical Therapy and on Lidocaine Patches.

My job has me sitting in front of my pc all day or in meetings that last from 2-5 hrs, 3 times a week.

My PTherapist noticed 4 knots in my piriformis muscle…..painful.

Has anyone gone through this and LIVED to tell the tale???

    The exercises don’t help me.
I’m so tired of this, I will just keep taking the drugs and pray.

What’s funny is that at first, people don’t believe you. My regular doctor said “Oh it’s weight gain, or it’s just your muscle”.

    I’m sorry, I’m just venting.
Today is bad…..it’s a burning feeling….in a certain spot that just does not go away and nothing I do, short of drugging myself up to be asleep, makes me feel better.

Ask your doctor about the cortisone injection.

    I hope this helps.
I’m sorry, I wish I could say more.

I’m going through the samething right now. I’ve only had it for about 3 weeks but the pain is not nice. Mine comes on after about 10 min’s of sitting in a chair. My phsyio has just given me streaching excerise’s to do but as yet no improvement. Maybe you have got some advice for me about coping with the pain.
Hope to here from you soon
