Small tear in the medial meniscus

(2 discussions)

Hi,An MRI scan revealed a small tear of around 4 millimetres in the medial meniscus of my left knee (due to running). The consultant surgeon is quite happy to leave it and allow me to resume full training again.Has anybody had any experience of this type of injury repairing itself when full training/racing has been resumed? Thanks,Duncan

I also have a small tear on my meniscus (confirmed by an MRI) due to rollerblading. My doctor recommends arthorscopic surgery to repair the tear. It has been about 5 weeks and I still have pain. Has your tear improved?
