Son’s Knee Pain(Osgoode Schlatters?)

(2 discussions)

Dear Dr. My 11 year old son is very active in floor hockey and baseball. He plays very aggressively in every sport that he participates in and lately he has been experiencing knee pain just below the Patella. It has been occurring in both knees, left is somewhat worse than the right, so for this reason it has me believing that this is not injury related. A friend told me about Osgoode Schlatters Disease. Could this be what he is experiencing? If so, what do you suggest as a treatment and is this a long term problem?
