Sprained/torn a should muscle??

fyi i just started lifting weights…i was on the bench press and was lifting and as i slowly brought the bar back down towards me, i felt a kind of sting or pull(??) on my left shoulder. well, a day later, there is a slight red mark in that same area that i felt the pull, but it has since gone away, but it still hurts a little bit when i try to move my left arm back. it’s not really that painful, but it’s noticeable (it’s the same feeling u get when u just start working out muscles that you have never worked before) and i’m wondering if this is serious enough to consult someone? or will it be fine in a few days? thanks
