stomach(ab) muscles

I joined a gym 5 weeks ago. I do 100 (10 sets 0f ten) set-ups on the ab-machine at the gym at least five nights a week. Instead of me losing my stomach, it seems like its getting bigger (swollen). Is this normal. or am I doing something wrong?

    If you work out a muscle it gets bigger…that goes for the abs too. You are building muscle bulk. How about trying different ab exercises and not do the same machine every day.
