I’m a new member at a local gym, and I think I over-did it with the bar curls. Now I can’t fully extend my left arm without dull but heavy pain.
Is it strained?
What should I do?
Hopefully you strained your biceps muscle, but it is possible that you have ruptured the muscle completely. You need to use ice (15 minutes at a time, four times daily) for three days. Also, Advil (three times daily) should help with any pain and inflammation. If you don’t see rapid improvement with doing the above, you need to see a doctor, PT, or ATC for a more through exam and diagnosis. Let us know how you do, and good luck.
