strange behavior of a stress fracture
Dear Doc, I have a stress fracture of my second metatarsal, which, according to the x-ray and the doctor, should still allow me to put partial, if not full, weight on it. I was not weight bearing for more than 3 weeks waiting for pains and swelling to go away but it didn’t happen. My doctor wasn’t sure whether it would be better to get a cast or try some weight-bearing. But after I tried very slight weight-bearing (

Although you have written a great deal of information, there is still much more I or any other doctor would want to know. What the X ray looks like, your weight, health activity, are you in a cast brace?
