Strange knee injury

does anybody know what ligament is excatly injured. After i injured my knee while playing soccer(got tripped over) and a doctor had a look at it and said its only a ligament injury annd said nothing else ! i was on crutches for just over 2 weeks. the fluid in my knee lasted a couple of months. when my knee was injured i wasn’t able to lift my knee up much while in a sitting position. What ligament is resonseable for this ? is it the ACL ? and do you think my ligament was torn , partial torn or just stretched ?

now after 6 month i can run sometimes feel a tiny bit of instability and when i put my hand over my knee keep while doing extension and flextion i can feel crackling sounds in my knee with no pain, then i found out after i do couple of jumps,(jumps like your trying to touch something high) the nosies stops but when i have my femur in a different position and start doing flextion and extension the nosies comes back again ? what do you think is wrong ? could it be crepitus ? damaged cartilage?

also when i flex and extend my knee(same knee) i can feel this click between the joint of my femur and tibia/or fibia? (bump bit on inside part of my knee)
