strengthening knee tendons and ligaments

I need to know the best way to strengthen the ligaments and tendons in my knee.
It keeps popping out of the socket.
I have had an MRI and there is no tear of the cartilidge. Any excersises will be greatly appreciated.

    I had knee surgery on march 2nd. since then I have been working out, squatting, doing lunges, and running. I play football so am I doing the right thing. My knees feel very good and more more I run and work out the stronger it feels. I heard that if you squat only half way it strengthens the knees as well. Your advice would be greatly appreciated
