stubbed big toe

I stubbed my toe yesterday. I was running pretty much full speed, wearing only flip flops, and I smashed my big toe right into a log that didn’t give an inch. Anyway, I can only assume it’s broken. I’ve stubbed toes before, but this one is just excrutiating. It hasn’t stobbed throbbing in the last 30 hours, it’s swollen and red. All I can do is think about how bad it hurts. So I guess my question is, should I see a doctor or will this thing go away soon enough on its own?

You need to see a doctor and have the toe x-rayed to find out if it is broken and to make sure that everything is in the correct position to heal. It also will need to be immobilized. Go to the doctor!
