Stump Neuromas
(3 discussions)
Do you know what the liklihood is of a stump neuroma after a morton’s neuroma excision?
Is there an average rate that is usually quoted?
I suspect it depends on the surgeon’s skills, but I’m just wondering what the percent likelihood is generally believed to be.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I had two neuromas removed at the same time. The right foot got infected, which then required me to put more pressure on the left on my limited walking with a crutch to protect the right. How can you tell if a stump neuroma is developing? I presently have a large knot in the middle of the ball of my foot that feels very similar to the neuroma before it was removed. Could this be a stump neuroma? Thank you,Cammie Landholm
