surgery complete

Well, the surgery is done.
ughhh!!
I sure hope this is worth it.
The past 2 nights have been horrid!!
Of course what do you expect when someone cuts you open puts a couple of screws in, a pin here, a bone graft there, oh, and rotates some bone back in place that has moved through all of this fun.
I’m not even completly sure about yet that situation yet.
Anyways, I’m assuming the pain will get better as the days go on.So, back to this bone stim again.
Can it even be used if you have a cast on?
How would that work?
I haven’t asked my Dr about it yet.
I go back on friday.
Alright, must get the throbbing ankle elevated quickly:)Thanks Again! -Stephanie

Thanks Heather, I’ll ask about that. Did you have surgery, or were you haveing problems with a non-union.

Some bone stimulators can be used with a cast..the Orthofix is worn over the cast and a hole is cut in the cast for the exogen. I’ve been using orthofix for 7 weeks and it’s working well.
