sweat glands in feet
One of my foster kids has no sweat glands in his feet (so I am told) his feet hurt and he gets blisters when he does sports.
He has salve to put on the feet and a foot doctor scraped some dead skin off his feet about six months ago but he hasn’t been getting any other treatment.
I want to do whatever is necessary to take proper care of him.
He loves sports but has been kept from participation due to his feet.

Sweat serves as a mechanism to cool down the body. The foot when it is enclosed in a shoe sweats more. If there is no sweat then it is possible that friction will build up and callus will form. I have not ever seen this condition so I am out on a limb here. I might suggest you try socks that are made with Cool Max or some other material that helps wick perspiration away. Cotton does a poor job. Good shock absorbing insoles in the athletic shoes might also be helpful.
