Swollen Ankle after Cast Removal
I fractured my fibula about 7 weeks ago and just had my plaster cast removed yesterday.
I was surprised to see how swollen my ankle area still is once they took off the cast.
Is the swelling normal and how long will it be until the swelling starts to go down? Thanks for your help

Yes swelling is common and could be present for weeks. Are you having PT? You should…talk to your doctor.
