TENDINITIS

I have an acute tendinitis of the wrist right now and am being treated. Wondering if there is a particular support that will protect my wrist while lifting my 4 month old grandson. I am 60 years old. I have 15 days to heal enough to lift the grandson, is that feasible? Thank you. Nancy
