tendonitices and burisitis of elbow?
(2 discussions)
Hi my doctor recently diagnosed me with “tennis elbow” although he was not aware that I was suffering from inflamation and pain in both the elbow and armpit.
I received the injury preforming the chin up exercise shown in the picture I attached. Could anyone tell me if this is possibly burisitis and tendonitices? or how I can tell and what I can do to releive the pain. thank you. (its been 2 weeks since I started feeling pain and I have been on 600 mg anti-inflamitories for 10 days but am off them now.)

Why didn't you tell your doctor that you had pain in your armpit too? If you're still having pain I suggest you ask him if you can see a PT. In the meantime don't do any gripping or lifting activities if it causes pain in your elbow. You'll just be aggrivating the situation.

I have a similar situation and have been staying off using my arm for exercises, etc., for several days now. I am an avid swimmer and it is driving me wild not knowing how long it will take to go away. Is this type of injury reversable? Will I be able to resume my normal swimming, etc., again soon? I haven’t had this situation occur before and am quite nervous I will no longer be able to swim. Please reply. Thanks.
