Tendonitus

(2 discussions)

I have some carpal tunnel and I have tendonitus. I use a computer all day. My arms hurt pretty bad. I have been to the doctor and he gave me some anti inflammatory pills, they didn’t work. I wondered if there exercises, treatment such as heat or ice and or diet change I could make that would help. I use a lot of ben gay, take lots of tylenol. Thanks in advanceJohn

John,If you type in “Carpal Tunnel Treatments” into a search engine, you will find tons of information and potential treatments. Your best bet, however, would probably be to see a Physical Therapist, which could both evaluate and treat you specific condition. You would probably get relief faster than if you try things on your own, as a PT has modalities that can greatly speed healing. The PT can also teach you proper techniques to prevent the return of your tendonitis, such as showing you the proper hand position for typing, and perhaps how to stretch and use a wrist splint, etc. Try to see a PT, and let us know what they recommend. Good luck!
