Thigh Pain

(3 discussions)

I am a soccer player in a Air Force Soccer League and have been having bad sharp pain in my right Quadricep area.
I thought it was just a simple pull, but even weeks later when I go to strike the ball, I get sharp pains. Any idea about this one?

Remember that there are actually four muscles in your quads, so you might have a strain deep within your middle quad muscle. Since you are with the Air Force Soccer league, perhaps you have access to one of the Air Force Certified Athletic Trainers (ATCs) or Physical Therapists. They would not only be able to give you a specific evaluation, and prognosis, but could help you with rehabilitation of your injury. Look into the possibility of seeing one of the ATCs or PTs, and let us know what they advise.

i am a high school football player and not to long ago I got a cramp like feeling in my thigh. it felt like a regular cramping until I tried to walk on it. It is a serious limp to my step when I walk though. it hurts bad and when I do simple things such as rest my arm on it or even sit down it hurts. I can’t walk down the stairs without feeling a sharp pain in my thigh. this is a serious matter. I have a game tomorrow and practice today. if I don’t come of this injury I wont play and this is the last game. What can I do
