Tib/fib fracture
I fractured my lower tibia/fibula 3 inches above my ankle in 1998.. I have a metal rod from my knee all the way to my ankle…there is a knot on the front of my tibia that has recently started hurting quite a bit..could this be a bone callus?

My son broke tib/fib close to ankle on 2/4/06. A nail and screws were placed near knee and ankle. Now at nearly two months postop we learned that bone did not set properly and ankle is turned nearly 11 degress off. original surgeon recommends rebreak, plates, and more screws. A second opinion doctor has referred us to a surgeon for external fixation. We are totally lost as to where to turn. I suspect that another ortho would recommed something totally different. I only my fifteen-year old needs something done
