Tibial stress fracture?

So I’m trying to return to running after being diagnosed with a stress fracture in my right shin. I took 6 weeks completely off, crosstraining in the pool, and started running easy again about 4 weeks ago. But, I have had some slight pain in the shin area again in the past week – I was wondering if this is normal when returning from this type of injury?

I just joined today, but I had this exact injury 5 years ago. I was told to take 4 months off from running after the stress fracture. I, too, swam in the interim and when I returned I had some pain in the shin but used custom made orthodics (I overpronate severely…now I am in a cast because of PT tendonosis and bad medical advice initially when I started having pain).

Still, that exact thing happened to me. Just go easy. I don’t know what your foot structure is like, but the orthodics really helped me…I also started cycling more and running less, but again, my foot structure was a real issue (the overpronation).

    Good luck
