Toddler’s Shoes

My 11 month old is just learning to walk, therefore barefoot. When she begins to walk, and thereafter, what kind of shoes are best for her feet? And what is the difference in the cheap and expensive shoes? They all look the same to me.

Children who are beginning to walk should be allowed to go barefoot in the house if possible. A shoe is basically to protect the foot from the outside environment. As far as cheap shoes and expensive shoes go, you usually get what you pay for. I never recommend synthetics or plastic or all man made shoes. A leather upper is preferable. A normal child’s foo does not need so called ankle support. What did people do for thousands of years before Stride Rite and other stores like them?
