toe broken then fugus now pain
About a year and half ago I dropped a Queen size bed frame on my big toe and think I broke it. It took 4 to 6mo. for it to completely stop hurt after walking or standing a lot, and about a yr. for the purple black color to grow out.
Anyway, some where in the midst of all that, I think I may have developed a fugus. The nail is very thick and pulled away from the skin.
It is now curving in sort of underneath itself and becoming painful again.
I’m calling a podiatrist tomorrow but I just curious about it until I get an appointment.
Please helpjenn

If the root of the nail was damaged, the nail may grow back thickened and even deformed as you describe. It may or may not have a fungus as well. Your podiatrist will be able to tell.
