Toe Walking

    You could put markers on the floor and tell him he has to hit the marks only with his heels. Toe walkers generally have shortened achilles tendons so stretching of calves would be of great help. Have him/her stand with you holding one or both hands and have him only put his heel up on a small ball and then back to the ground. You want to do activites that force him to hit the heel first when he walks and the toe off. These activities will help strengthen the muscles to help with “heel strike” and stretching the calves will help also.
