Top Foot Pain
I recently injured my ankle and foot jumping over a fence and landing wrong, it has been 3-4 months now and I still have severe pain over my 4th metatarsel.
There is a small area that is discolored and hurts very bad to touch, doctor has done x-rays to see if stress fracture but showed up negative.
Any suggestions what this might be ???

I broke my ankle in a couple of different places about 4 months ago. One break hardly showed up on x-rays and didn’t really look like much. That particular break kept hurting severly and was lightly bruised in that area. I ended up getting a CT scan (basically a fancy x-ray that shows thin slices/sections of the bones) and it showed major displacement of the bone that was not visible on standard x-rays what so ever. Go to a DPM or an Orthopedic surgeon and ask if a CT or MRI would help if they don’t have another answer for you.
